The Federal Government has come under sustained questioning at a Senate Estimates hearing over its relationship with Saudi Arabia. The oil-rich kingdom has drawn heavy criticism after the alleged murder of one of its worst critics, journalist Jamal Khashoggi, in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. The Federal Government is under pressure to explain what Australia's response to that and other matters involving Saudi Arabia will be.
