On Saturday, London's Gatwick Airport says flights have resumed after a second shutdown over a drone sighting.

Take-offs and landings had again been suspended on Saturday at London's busy Gatwick Airport as a precautionary measure following drone sightings.

A series of shutdowns sparked close to 36 hours of travel chaos with thousands of passengers disrupted.

The airport says military measures in place have made it safe to resume flight operations.
