The Australian media industry has been rocked by the news that tv presenter Lisa Wilkinson has quit her high-profile job as co-host of the Nine Network's Today show. She'll take up a new role with the Ten Network next year. Her resignation comes amid reports the network refused to pay her the same salary as her male co-host. Gender equality advocates say Ms Wilkinson's decision encourages other women to take a stand against what they see as gender pay inequality.
