Housing affordability still prominent issue in Budget

Treasurer Scott Morrison has hinted housing affordability will be a key part of next week's (may 9) Budget policy. The Government is believed to be thinking of letting first-home buyers use their pre-tax income to save for a deposit, rather than dip into their superannuation.
