Is erhu easier to learn than violin?

Mr Zhu is a top Erhu musician in China. Zhu was born in 1956 and start his erhu learning at the age of 7. Mr Zhu, who is also the Chairman of the Musicians' Association of Jiangsu Province and is performing with Australia Hua Xia Orchestra in Sydney this week. Why Jiang Su is regarded as the hometown of erhu? Is erhu easier to learn than violin? Mr Zhu explains.
