Australian Capital Territory will now be able to prescribe drugs for medical abortion after a new law passed General Practitioners in the on last Wednesday. Owing to the new laws the ACT will no longer require abortion to be carried out in an approved facility. Doctors will now be able to prescribe RU486, which will allow women to chemically trigger a miscarriage on their own.
