Federal and state governments and businesses are set to roll out a new discount scheme for Australian veterans.

A new discount scheme is coming for Australia's 300,000-plus veterans.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the $11 million Australian Veterans' Card and Lapel Pin aims to reduce the cost of living for servicemen and women who return from duty.

Mr Morrison says businesses will now be able to show more appreciation by offering discounts on things such as food and petrol.
