In an Australian first, some Australian schools have started using a new tertiary training model to train prospective teachers in classrooms rather than in universities. This clinical teaching method has been rolled out with 19 teaching students in six schools in NSW.

In an Australian first, some Australian schools have started using a new tertiary training model to train prospective teachers in classrooms rather than in universities. This clinical teaching method has been rolled out with 19 teaching students in six schools in NSW.


The benefit of the clinical teaching model is the ability to keep students in the regional areas once they graduate. However the university council pointed out that this program is not efficient on national scale. Jiao Lu has more.
