The United States says it is proceeding with plans to deploy an advanced anti-missile defence system to South Korea to help it defend against neighbouring North Korea's ballistic missiles. It comes as North Korea fired four more missiles into the sea off north-west Japan, three of them landing in waters Japan claims as its exclusive economic zone.
