Scott Morrison sworn in as Australia's 30th prime minister. "ScoMo" - who has served as treasurer since 2015 - won the leadership contest 45 to 40 votes in the party room, with the motion to force a spill also carried 45 to 40 votes.


 

Julia Bishop, Peter Dutton and Scott Morrison contested for the top job. Why did Bishop be eliminated in the first round of voting? Why did Morrison beat Dutton to win the Prime Minister's throne?
