The latest statistics show that nearly twice as many people identify as having Pacific Islander ancestry in Australia than a decade ago. And while the majority of the over 200,000 Pacific community resides in Queensland, Western Australia is also home to a large proportion. But Kyle Brown reports, Pasifika women in Perth did not have their own cultural event until very recently.
