Serious consequences can not be avoided if China, the United States and Taiwan made misjudgments on the Taiwan issue

Chinese President Xi Jinping is urging Taiwan to accept it will soon be reunited with China. In a speech marking 40 years since the start of improving ties, Mr Xi reiterated calls for peaceful unification, but also warned that China reserves the right to use force. In response, Taiwanese president ((ms)) Tsai Ing-wen says she will never accept reunification under the terms being offered. Mr. Xiaoming Xue, studying for the doctor degree of Political economy in Sydney University, told SBS Mandarin that serious consequences can not be avoided if China, the United States and Taiwan made misjudgments on the Taiwan issue.
