The disappearance of a 29 year-old woman in Shanghai has sparked an online campaign of users posting defaced images of Chinese president Xi [[shee]] Jinping. Dong Yaoqiong [[dong yao-ch'YONG]] disappeared last Wednesday after a video of her throwing black ink on a poster of the Chinese leader went viral. Now netizens ((citizens of the internet)) have taken to social media imitating Ms Dong’s protest, and demanding answers from the Chinese government.
