Michael Tran wrote a petition for the lack of funding in public schools in NSW. His petition is looking into the matters associated with the state of New South Wales and its education-related matters. This petition is asking for the government to introduce a funding scheme for public schools who are under resourced in the area of technology as well as dropping the proposed TAFE cuts. Michael Tran is the Youth Member for Fairfield and Shadow Minister for South Western Sydney. Michael is currently a 16-year-old student studying at Canley Vale High School, a public school situated in South Western Sydney. Michael started his leadership career at a very young age and has been involved with organisations such as Fairfield Council and Cancer Council NSW. Michael has also served previously as the Junior Member for Cabramatta in 2014 and Youth Member for Cabramatta in 2015. This year officially marks Michaels 3rd year of being involved in YMCA NSW Youth and Government programs. Michael served in the Education Portfolio in this years YMCA NSW Youth Parliament.
