On November 29th, scientists confirmed that this year's mass coral bleaching event has resulted in the largest die-off of corals ever recorded on the Great Barrier Reef. Earlier this year, the geochronologist Professor Zhao Jianxin from University of Queensland told SBS Mandarin Program, the near-shore coral reef exist a large area of bleaching problem. If us took remedial measures when these coral bleaching began to appear, could it be helpful? To what extent can artificial protection of coral reefs be achieved? What factors does the recovery of these coral reefs depends on? Reporter Junjie Liu interviewed Professor Zhao Jianxin again. Professor Zhao said the main cause of bleaching and dying Corals.
