A typhoon has left a trail of destruction as it moved across the central Philippines .. toppling power lines, damaging houses and displacing thousands. At its peak, Typhoon Nock-ten packed wind gusts up to 255 kilometres per hour when it made landfall over Catanduanes province. More than 380,000 peope were evacuated, as the typhoon moved through the country. The Philippines is one of the world's worst-affected countries when it comes to typhoons, with an average of 20 a year. Interview with meteorologist MR ZHU DINGZHEN
