WA fires downgraded amid easing conditions

In Western Australia, the emergency warning for a bushfire south of Perth has now been downgraded to 'watch and act'.Easing weather conditions are helping firefighters battle the blaze that has killed two people and destroyed more than 140 (143 as at 1000 aedt Monday) properties.But the Department of Fire and Emergency Services says the threat still remains.
