Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he is open to moving Australia's embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Australia has always had its embassy in Tel Aviv because of the decades-long land dispute in Jerusalem between Israelis and Palestinians. If Australia does proceed, it will follow the United States in effectively recognising Jerusalem as the "true" capital of Israel. Mr Morrison has insisted Australia remains committed to a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians.
