COMELEC releases list of 66 senatorial aspirants for May 2025

The Commission on Elections En Banc has accepted the COMELEC’s law department’s recommendation for 65 senatorial aspirants eligible to run for the 2025 May Elections.

• Included in the list are 11 members of Marcos Adminstration’s Alyansa ng Pagbabago.
• Among the 65 senatorial aspirants are allies of former President R Duterte and for Vice-President L Robredo.
• Among the 183 individuals who filed their Certificate Of Candidacy (COC) 117 were classified as nuisance candidates.

In other news, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pardoned 143 Filipinos who are facing various charges in the country.
