Filipinos in western Sydney celebrate Philippines' 123rd year of independence

In a picnic-style event, Filipinos in Western Sydney celebrate Philippines' 123rd Independence Day on Saturday in Auburn.

This year's theme 'Ang Diwa ng Pagtutulungan sa Panahon ng Kagipitan', the Alliance of Philippine Community Organizations and its affiliates hosted the early event in Sydney to commemorate the Philippines' independence day celebration.

The event also celebrates the 75th year of friendship between the Philippines and Australia.
