After the Australian Government suspended some new CRICOS applications for one year, how can international students know whether the school they are choosing will genuinely help them or potentially put them at greater risk?

Key Points

That was the experience of Roberto, not his real name, who said some students were placed in a vulnerbale position due to questionable practices by some education providers.
  • "The college had been helpful sa pagtuturo ng skills na talagang na-apply ko sa work," said May Templeman, who graduated Hospitality Management course in Sydney. She said her college supported her transition form study to employment.
She said Australia is not closing its doors to international students, but is tightening scrutiny on education providers.
