Retired Australia Post electronic technician-turned-funeral director Leo Bilog partnered with his brother-in-law and entered the funeral industry in Melbourne in 2020.

KEY POINTS
  • Industry scale: According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, there were 9,520 funeral, crematorium and cemetery services recorded in 2013.
  • The capital Bilog allotted for his funeral home,'San Fernando Funeral Homes' (including land purchased 13 years prior) was estimated to be between $3 million and $4 million.
  • The current capital required to establish a comparable, full-service funeral business is estimated to range from $10 million to $12 million, reflecting the substantial cost of acquiring prime commercial land and new facilities today, a figure significantly contrasting with Bilog's initial investment.
Importante na maging honest ka lalo na't nagdadalamhati ang lumalapit sa iyo. Kailangan i-assure mo ang mga kliyente mo na ang expectations nila ay ma-fu-fulfill mo o mas hihigitan mo.
Leo Bilog, Funeral Home Director
