Referendum Council switches to treaty, voice in parliament

The council of hundreds of key Indigenous figures from across the country says it will push for a constitutionally enshrined, elected Indigenous body in federal parliament.

 

A statement released at the end of a three-day forum in Uluru says the council will also push for a mechanism for treaty-making and a healing commission.
