For almost a decade, Canberran restaurateurs Jay and Kim Prieto championed Filipino cuisine through their successful eatery in the nation's capital.

There are approximately 1,750 restaurants in Canberra, based on Tripadvisor.
According to the Prieto couple, upwards of $500,000 AUD was needed to start their restaurant 'Lolo and Lola,' located in Watson, ACT, which has a seating capacity of over a hundred.
To keep things interesting, the Prietos regularly change the menu and offerings every week.
