Filipino Pastry Chef, Nouel Catis, the brains behind the world-famous Dubai Chocolate, says that while he has created many recipes, the Dubai Chocolate is the first to have gained international recognition.

  • The Dubai Chocolate was initially created for Ramandan in 2022, then known sa Pistachio Kunafa.
  • Chef Nouel Catis says it is very difficult to patent a recipe; with a slight alteration in the weight of the ingredient, anyone can claim it as their own version.
  • It took Chef Nouel Catis three months to create the recipe for Dubai Chocolate, he says he has tasted a handful or less that are close to the original recipe.
