Key Points
- Founded in Davao City in 1993, South Border began as a group of young musicians passionate about blending jazz, pop, and R&B into the Filipino music scene. Their breakthrough came in 1996 with the release of “Kahit Kailan,” a song that became an instant classic and propelled their debut album to triple platinum status. Other hits followed, including “Love of My Life,” “Rainbow,” and the TV theme song “Ikaw Nga”.
- Over the years, South Border has experienced several lineup changes, but Jay Durias, the keyboardist, songwriter, and lead vocalist, has remained with the band throughout.
- South Border is now in Australia, bringing their iconic sound to fans across the country as part of their Down Under Tour this September 2025.
