Signé en 1998, l’Accord de Nouméa a marqué un tournant décisif dans l’histoire de la Nouvelle-Calédonie. Né du besoin de réconcilier un territoire meurtri par les affrontements des années 1980, il symbolise aujourd’hui la volonté de construire un destin commun entre toutes les communautés. Mais pour comprendre cet accord, il faut revenir aux origines : la colonisation, les tensions, et les luttes qui ont façonné l’identité calédonienne.
