The 2019 German Film Festival in Australia ended on June 12 with last sessions in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Byron Bay, after finishing a few days earlier in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. The top film from a commercial perspective was Balloon by Michael Herbig. And the festival as a whole attracted 30,000 visitors – double the figure of 2018!
