50 years of SBS: From migration radio to multicultural media network
SBS begann 1975 als zwei ethnische Radiosender: 2EA in Sydney und 3EA in Melbourne.
In 2025, the Australian multicultural broadcaster SBS is celebrating its 50th anniversary — a success story that began with the radio station “Radio Ethnic Australia.” In the midst of social and political upheavals, a public service was created that reached migrants in their language and became a symbol of a multicultural Australia.
