Since 1984, Thomas de Vogt has been a formative voice and driving force in the German SBS program. As an executive producer, he accompanied important global political and cultural events over decades — from Live Aid 1985 to German reunification, which he reported on day and night. In conversation, Thomas de Vogt shares his memories of turbulent times, the first Pope visit to Melbourne, and the role of SBS as a source of information — with a view to a bilingual future for the German program.
