A Jewish Territory in Australia?

The situation in the Middle East between Palestinians and Israelis escalates again and again. Outbreaks of violence have been recurrent since the official establishment of Israel in 1948. Shortly before the outbreak of World War II, however, there were plans to found a Jewish territory in northern Australia. This could have drastically changed the world as we know it today.
