Lack of financial, logistical and spatial possibilities to dispose of waste. Many islands on this planet share this fate. This is also the case for the Australian Cocos Islands, which are stuck in precisely this rubbish dilemma. There is now as much waste on the Cocos Islands as the islanders would produce in 4000 years. Now they want to use a geopolitical advantage to fight it.
