A case from Germany places the dangers of digital violence at the center of public debate and gets global attention. Actress and presenter Collien Fernandes is confronted with fake social media profiles as well as numerous pornographic deepfake content. The focus is on her ex-partner, actor Christian Ulmen, against whom there is an initial suspicion of reenactment — the presumption of innocence applies. But the case has sparked big protests nationwide and is increasing political pressure to tighten legislation.
