In mid-January, Australia's German community lost one of its most prominent members: Dr Jens Mohr (pictured below). We invited Dr Walter Uhlenbruch (pictured above) to share some insights and celebrate the life of this remarkable businessman and community leader.
Dr Jens Mohr passed passed away suddenly whilst visiting friends and family in Germany, aged 79.
He was the former CEO of Hoechst Australia, President of the Australian German Chamber of Commerce and President of the Australian German Welfare Society.
His family is from Hamburg and he came to Australia in 1992.

From 1977 - 1985, Dr Mohr worked in Nigeria. He loved the arts and is the first President of the German Welfare Society who died in office.
Our thoughts are with his wife Linde, and the entire Mohr family.
