Outbursts of anger, irritability, emotional rollercoaster: Adolescence presents enormous challenges for many families. A new study from New Zealand is now attracting attention because it shows that certain vitamin and mineral combinations could significantly improve adolescents' emotional regulation. The results of the so-called BEAM study suggest some surprisingly strong effects — and at the same time raise questions as to how far such dietary supplements can actually help.
