Fatih Akin is one of the most important German directors, screenwriters and producers of our time. This year, the German Film Festival is showing four films, among which his latest work “Amrum”. We talk to the director about why it is one of his most important films and what he thinks of being so cherished in Australia.
The German Film Festival is taking place until May 27 in Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Byron Bay/Ballina, Perth and Melbourne.
