Last night, the German Film Festival finally opened in Brisbane - as the last city after Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, the German-speaking community in Queensland can now look forward to the best selection of German movies.
"The silent revolution”, a movie about life in the eastern part of Germany shortly before the wall was built, is the opening film of the festival. Our SBS correspondent Katharina Loesche reports from the opening night and has mixed with the - predominantly German speaking - cinema audience.
