Kathrin Dierich is living almost 100 km north of Brisbane on a small island where the former press photographer from Berlin is leading a quiet life after her difficult divorce.
This year, Kathrin Dierich won the Faber-Castell Urban Sketch Competition and was exhibited at the Art Gallery in Sydney.
Our Queensland correspondent Katharina Loesche met her and talked about her life as an artist and a topic that is currently affecting the Sunshine Coast: where do the driftwood cabins on the beach come from? Who built it? And why?
