In conversation: Kirsten Püttjer - crime writer

Krimiautorin Kirsten Püttjer (R) mit Trudi Latour Source: Christine Latour
Kirsten Püttjer was born in Hamburg and works as a freelance copywriter and author. In addition to thrillers she writes short stories and screenplays. She is a member of the Syndikat, an association of German crime writers and the network Mörderische Schwestern, which promotes German-language crime fiction written by women. In this conversation she tells us about her two regional crime novels Kein Herz für Walker and Das Letzte Hemd, which play on the Lower Rhine, and about the Landkrimi Bauer Trecker Tod. She has written all these books together with her husband, author and journalist Volker Bleeck. How this works, and why the publishers are using these categories for crime novels is also part of our discussion.
