As the conflict in the Middle East is forcing airlines around the world to take action, the German airline Lufthansa has now stopped operating its regional airline CityLine. The airline announced the decision on Thursday — just one day after its 100th anniversary celebration in Frankfurt am Main. The reasons given were rising kerosene prices and additional burdens due to flight staff strikes.
