"My papa was incredibly lucky"

At the end of July, Bianka Martini in Australia received bad news from her Thuringian homeland. Her father had fallen into a coma after a brain hemorrhage. Bianka (38) pulled out all the stops to apply for an exemption from Australia's travel ban - and succeeded.
