Pandemic is 'far from over'in the United States

America's top health agency has again revised its guidelines for mask wearing, as the Delta variant of Covid-19 hits the unvaccinated population hard. Meanwhile, the United Nations says 600-million children are being affected by school closures in response to the pandemic - with devastating consequences. And the International Monetary Fund has singled out access to vaccines as the biggest cause of a widening gap in growth forecasts between rich and poor countries across the globe.
