Australia plans to halve polluting emissions from passenger vehicles by 2025. This ambitious goal can only be achieved by a noticeable increase in the number of electrically powered vehicles. The problem with this strategy is that car customers are reluctant to move away from the beloved petrol and diesel engines they've been familiar with for generations. Electrically powered cars, on the other hand, are considered expensive to buy and complicated to handle, as the charging infrastructure is supposedly inadequate. But are these objections really true?
