Australia was the first country in the world where cigarette packs were printed with photos of deformed fetuses, smoker's legs or tongue cancer. Since 2012, the boxes have also come without any brand and Tobacco companies lost their protest against the "plain packaging" law in court.
And the new rules and regulations show effect: in 1945 still 72 percent of men and one in four women smoked in Australia. Today, only about 10 percent of over-16s regularly smoke cigarette. In comparison: still 30 percent smoke regularly in Germany. It’s well known and medically proved that smoking is unhealthy.
