Iris Brandewiede is a teacher in a special school and also a music therapist. In addition, she not only writes songs for her band REIF, but also stories. One of her 4 volumes is about her experiences with the students at the special school, who have very different disabilities. The stories are taken from life, though are not totally authentic. The book is called WHERE - Almost True Stories. Each of the stories begins with the connecting word "Where". The student in the story today has a physical disability. He is of Indian descent, has only been in Germany for half a year and - does not say a word. Nobody knows why this is and how they might be able to help him out of this isolation.
The title of the story actually already anticipates the solution:
The title is: Where singing is sometimes easier than speaking.
