Jochen Gutsch talks to me about one of the songs in his song cycle "7 Tales" - the Tale of Zara. The style is an interesting indi-pop-classic mix and the theme is difficult to grasp - and the lyrical musical narrative also has a surprise at the end. Jochen wrote the music as well as the lyrics and plays trumpet, guitar and percussion instruments. The band is called Hinterlandt and the musicians recorded "7 Tales" at the end of last year. The "Chamber-Pop-Quintett" consists of the classically trained musicians Simeon Johnson - cello, Monique Mezzatesta - violin, Jara Stinson - violin, Nicole Smede - vocals and of course Jochen Gutsch.
