In Germany, jokes and thoughtless comments re the Holocaust, Hitler and the country's Nazi past are considered extremely irresponsible, unhelpful and dumb. Not so in Australia, it seems. So how should a German react if an Aussie labels him a Nazi, 74 years after the end of World War Two?


Julia Kleis put the above question to Angelika von Sanden, a German social worker and life counsellor in Port Melbourne. Julia also interviewed a random group of German backpackers at Federation Square who talk about their experiences.
