50th birthday of the Sydney Opera House: From landfill to architectural milestone

Hardly any building is more of a landmark for its city than the Sydney Opera House. The white roofs were designed by a Danish architect who never saw the opera completed himself. On Friday, Australia's most famous building turns 50.
