Homes have been destroyed as two out of control bushfires are burning in northern NSW. Authorities suspect that one of them might be arson.
South of Casino, the village of Rapville, home to 250 people, is one of the parts of northern NSW that felt the impact of the bushfire at Busbys Flat. Authorities estimate that up to 30 buildings have been destroyed or damaged by the flames and are currently investigating the possibility that the fire was lit deliberately.
This bushfire was one of the four to receive emergency warnings by the NSW Rural Fire Service on Tuesday. Although the conditions eased somewhat overnight, the fire still burns out of control, as does a bushfire at Drake.
