The pandemic and the economic recovery were the main issues discussed earlier tonight (Australian time), between the prime ministers of Australia and Greece, Scott Morrison and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, respectively.

Mr Morrison in his twitter account said that he was "delighted to chat with my friend Mr Mitsotakis".

The Australian Prime Minister said that they had the opportunity "to swap notes on COVID-19 and economic recovery".

"As always he was keen to hear about Australia's Greek community, especially in Melbourne with the outbreak", said Mr Morrison.

The call took place earlier this evening. It was the first opportunity for the two leaders to catch up since the pandemic, outside of the first movers meetings.
